Scale & Strength

Knife Shear Test: Australian Standard AS5041-2003
The Australian Standard Knife Shear Test is a widely recognized and accepted method for evaluating the resistance of security mesh to cutting and shearing forces. It is governed by the AS 5041-2003 standard, which outlines the testing procedure and performance criteria. The test involves subjecting the security mesh to a specified force using a sharp knife or shearing tool to determine its resistance.
Neutral Salt Spray Test: Australian Standard AS 2331.3.1
Salt spray test (NSS) is performed to determine qualitative resistance to corrosive attack on the products surface.This test is commonly employed on protective coated products. AS 2331.3.1specifies particular testing requirements for salt spray test.Coatings are exposed to a corrosive atmosphere under controlled conditions for different durations.
Fire Attenuation Test : Australian Standard AS1530.4-2005, Appendix B7
Fire Attenuation Test Tested in general accordance with Australian Standard AS1530. 4-2005, Appendix B7 achieving a 45.6% reduction in radiant heat flux between the inside and outside of the product when exposed to incident radiant heat.
Bushfire Test: Australian Standard AS3959-2009,(BAL) – FZ
This Standard and amendments provide a methodology allowing a Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) to be determined. It also provides guidance on the construction requirements for each BAL rating to ensure buildings are appropriately constructed and capable of resisting attack from burning embers, radiant heat, or flame contact.
Cyclonic Screen Test : Australian Standard 2010 AS/NZS1170.2
In cyclonic regions windows and doors may need to be protected from flying debris simulating a category 3 cyclone. WeaveTec security screens have been tested and surpass this standard, resisting the 4kg, 100mm x 50mm timber travelling at 15 meters per second.

The steel wire mesh is compressed and secured with 15,000 pounds of force in a heavy-duty aluminum frame--meeting the highest level of SMA 6001-2002 industry impact force standard.
Powder Coated: American Standard ASTM B117
high-quality powder coating finishes must meet or exceed ASTM standards. ASTM B117 is the standard for salt spray testing parameters, and it outlines the correct setup for performing the test. WeaveTec provides powder coating for security screen products that withstand thousands of hours of exposure according to ASTM B117.
