The Knife Test
Security screens undergo rigorous testing, including the knife shear test, where a heavy-duty knife applies mechanical force. The test is repeated three times with a new blade, ensuring durability. If the incision is not greater than 15cm, the product passes the test, demonstrating its reliability and strength against potential threats.
The Impact Test
The purpose of the impact test is to simulate a real-world assault on the security door. Utilizing a pendulum weight, it delivers 100j of impact force to a designated area of the door. Success is achieved when the material remains intact and the mesh remains secured to the frame, ensuring the door's resilience against potential attacks.
The Jemmy Test
In this examination, a lever is inserted between the security door's lock, hinge, and frame. The lever is then used to attempt to force the door open. If the door remains firmly shut, it signifies a successful outcome for the test.
The Pull Test
By mimicking an intruder's effort to remove the screen, the pull test requires a sufficient gap created by the preceding jemmy test to proceed.
The Probe Test
This evaluation imitates an intruder's endeavor to create a gap in the screen wide enough to manipulate the door lock from inside. Applying about 150kg force on both sides of the opening, success is indicated when the gap remains insufficient for hand entry.
The Shear Test
This test replicates a cutting plier assault on the screen, applying escalating pressure until the sample strand, used to gauge the mesh strength, fractures.
